Nella festa di San Luigi Guanella a Santa Barbara, Pangasinan (Filippine) è stata inaugurata una nuova statua di don Guanella
The Servants of Charity at Sacred Heart Formation House, Brgy. Maningding, Santa Barbara, Pangasinan, joyfully celebrated the 111th Feast of St. Luigi Guanella, Apostle of Charity, on October 24, 2026. The celebration brought together clergy, religious, lay friends, benefactors, volunteers, and members of the Guanellian family in thanksgiving and prayer.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Socrates B. Villegas, D.D., Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan, and concelebrated by priests, with the participation of a deacon and the faithful. Following the Mass, the Archbishop blessed the newly installed statue of St. Luigi Guanella. Special children participated in the unveiling, making the occasion a meaningful expression of the Founder’s love for the poor and the most vulnerable.
The Servants of Charity expressed heartfelt gratitude to the generous, unnamed sponsor of the statue and to the sculptor whose skill and dedication made this lasting gift possible. The statue will serve as a visible reminder of St. Guanella’s enduring mission of charity and service.
The community also thanked the Silungan na Panangaro Board Members, Pious Union of St. Joseph (PUSJ) members, special catechists, lay friends, benefactors, and volunteers. Special appreciation was extended to the PONCIANA Group for its generous daily assistance throughout the preparations, as well as to the staff of the Servants of Charity and Silungan na Panangaro for their tireless work.
The presence of the elderly residents of Silungan na Panangaro and the special children made the celebration especially meaningful. The Guanellian ministries—Guanellian Youth, Lectors, Altar Servers, GKids, and Choir—also contributed through their enthusiastic participation and service. Gratitude was extended to all who worked behind the scenes, offering their time, talents, and resources.
The celebration renewed the community’s commitment to follow St. Luigi Guanella by recognizing the dignity of every person and making God’s fatherly love visible through compassionate service.
St. Luigi Guanella, Apostle of Charity, pray for us!
